A culture of recognition.

At CELT Conferences we believe rigorous scholarship deserves visible celebration.

01
Written excellence

Best Paper Award

Conferred on the single submission judged most original, rigorous, and significant by the scientific committee. Selected through double-blind review of all accepted full papers, with criteria covering methodology, contribution to the field, clarity of writing, and depth of literature engagement.

Eligibility

Open to all accepted full-paper submissions across every track.

02
On the conference stage

Best Presentation Award

Awarded to the speaker whose live delivery best communicates their research — combining clarity of argument, command of the material, quality of visuals, and engagement with the audience. Judged by an independent panel attending sessions across the programme.

Eligibility

Open to all presenters, whether physical or virtual.

03
Institutional partnership

Partner University Shields & Awards

Formal shields and certificates of appreciation presented to our collaborating universities in recognition of sustained academic partnership — including faculty participation, peer review contributions, joint sessions, and co-publication initiatives.

Eligibility

Presented to institutions formally partnered with CELT Conferences for the calendar year.

04
Track excellence

Best Session Awards

Awarded within each parallel track to the session judged to deliver the strongest collective scholarship — taking into account the quality of papers, the cohesion of discussion, the chair's stewardship, and the level of audience engagement.

Eligibility

One award per track, selected by track chairs in consultation with the scientific committee.

05
Publication support

Free Publication Award (Scopus & WoS)

A small number of submissions of exceptional merit are offered free publication in our partner Scopus-indexed and Web of Science-indexed journals — covering the article processing fee in full. A meaningful boost for early-career researchers and authors from under-resourced institutions.

Eligibility

Awarded by the scientific committee at the highest level of distinction.

06
Keynote distinction

Speakers Awards

Recognition for our invited keynote and plenary speakers — scholars and practitioners of international standing whose work has shaped the conversation in their field. Each speaker receives a commemorative award and personalised citation at the closing ceremony.

Eligibility

Presented to all invited keynote and plenary speakers at each conference.

The Process

How awards are selected.

01

Independent Scientific Committee

A standing committee of senior academics from our partner universities reviews submissions and observes presentations across the conference.

02

Blind Review

All paper-based awards are decided through double-blind review — author identities are removed before scoring.

03

Multiple Reviewers per Submission

Every shortlisted submission is evaluated by at least three reviewers; final selection requires consensus.

04

Announced at Closing Ceremony

Winners are announced and presented with their awards at the closing ceremony of each conference, in front of the full delegation.
